I arrived a few hours ago from the LOC (Late Orientation Camp from AFS), and it was so great! I´m just really happy right now, and feeling better to face school tomorow!
I´m also really into english so I´m sorry but I won´t be writing in portuguese for now, it´s just harder and I don´t want to "go back".
Soo the LOC! It was in Darmstadt, which is about one hour away from Maintal by train. The camp was at a youth hostel and we could see a really beautiful lake from the windows of our room, I loved it! We watched the sunrise because we had to wake up at 7h to shower :)
Here it is. It was really beautiful :)
There were only 15 students and at first I wasn´t so happy about it but it turned out to be so great because we got to know everybody really well and it such a close group! There were 4 AFS volunteers and they were so funny and awesome as well, so everything was just perfect! I even liked this camp better than the ones in Portugal :)
We talked a lot in the activities and they explained to us how things were here in Germany; we did lots of energizers (not as much as in Portugal, though, I think!) which I just loved! My favourit is the poney one ehe. At the talentshow I joined with Sidney (from the USA) and Sigrid (from Norway) and we did an "intercultural music show", where they sang songs from their countries and I sang "Atirei o pau ao gato". It was a lot of fun!

Here we are :) The photo´s not so good but..
And then some of the guys put some music on and we just danced until we were allowed to (wich was 22h x) and it just felt so good; I felt free of concerns and happy among friends :)
Something rather weird was that we ate dinner at 6 O´clock! Germans normally eat dinner quite early, but still, that´s way to early! We would be so hungry by 9 O´clock that the volunteers would have to give us candy :p
In the meantime, during the day, we had the little activities where we talked and we also went for a walk in Darmstadt, and went to a park where we played a boys vs girls sort of dodge ball, which was really fun, and enjoyed the sun and the nice weather! (in here, 20´C is reaally nice weather :D). Also in the first night we also went for a walk and did energizers in the middle of the street x) Here we are on the first night:

And the girls at the park:

At the end my hostparents came to pick me up, and I was a bit sad to leave, because it felt so good to be with such great people and friends who really understand what you´re going through (because they´re going through the same), but... o que tem que ser tem muita forca :)
So I came home, took a 2h nap (I´ve been so tired these days! I sleep so much!) and then went on with the Deutsch lessons! I´m now trying to read a fairytail book with the help of a dictionary! It´s not so easy but it´s something :)
And that is it for today!
Much love
Ana
